What happens when you mix an instagram dm slide, a perfectly seared scallop meal, a drink at the hotel bar, a few D.C to Baltimore road trips and an ongoing romantic date war??

A reciprocal love.

A love so deep into safety that they know each other secrets. My biggest flex is how well she takes care of me without ever neglecting herself. She pours because she is priority but I make sure to replenish and she never runs dry. Her biggest flex is not only how well she’s cared for but how often she is considered. We love each other in ways that fairy tales were in foreign languages at the start. We didn’t get this from an example but from loving each other so deep that we studied each other. How can I been of service to you? What do you need from me? There is no pride where we lay our hearts!! What do you wish you received growing up that I can give you now? Love the Girl, Heal the Woman. We didn’t know each other as kids but we are growing old together. Love isn’t an object you find and pick up. It is built day by day, brick by brick with tears rolling down your face. You sit down and talk it out with your best friend. When you make promises with conditions that you hold up your end of the bargain. Show up as who you said you was gonna be.
